Our Values

Scripture: Scripture is the foundation of everything we do and believe. Through scripture we learn of God’s unconditional love shown through His son Jesus. God’s word guides the follower of Christ through life with encouragement and direction. (2 Tim. 3:14-4:5; Heb. 4:12; 1 Pet. 1:20-21; Ps. 19:7-10, 119; Is. 40:8; Eph. 4:11-13)

Prayer: It is a privilege and an honor to approach the Throne of Grace. Through prayer, our intimacy with God deepens. We completely depend on God for everything, and we believe that God can do more in a moment than we can do in a lifetime. We know when we call out to Him in prayer, He always listens. (Heb. 4:14-16, 7:25; 1 Tim. 2:1-2,5; Rom. 12:2; Acts 1:14, 2:42, 6:4; Col. 4:2; 1 Thess. 5:17; Ps. 145:18; 1 Jn. 5:14-15; Eph. 6:18; James 5:13-16; Eph. 6:18; Mk. 9:29)

Community: We are not created to live life alone. We want to be a multi-generational congregation that invests in each other. If we want true discipleship to take place here, we need relationship. There is no discipleship without relationship. (Heb. 10:19-25; Acts 2:42-47; 1 Cor. 12:27, 14:26; Matt. 18:20; Prov. 19:20, 27:17; Col. 3:16; Job 12:12; 1 Tim. 4:12)

Purpose: Every person is uniquely created in the image of God with unique gifts to serve God and serve others. We desire to equip the church to live out their purpose in ministry and missionally focused living. (Gen. 1:27; Ps. 139:13-16; Matt. 10:29-31; Jn. 3:1-8; 2 Cor. 5:16-19; Eph. 2: 10, 4:1-16; Rom. 12:3-8; 1 Cor. 12:12, 24-31)

Generosity: God is generous, and we want His generosity to be displayed through the life of our church. We can’t outgive God, but we will give joyfully, sacrificially, and radically. We should be generous through service to others, through meeting the physical needs of others, and with our finances. (1 Tim. 6:17-19, Rom. 5:15-18, 6:23; James 1:17; Luke 12:31-34; Acts 2:45-47, 20:35-36; 1 Cor. 9:6-15; Prov. 11:28; Matt. 6:19-21)
